Wigston College’s Vinylife team impressed judges with their innovative product idea at last night’s prestigious Young Enterprise second round competition held at Loughborough University.
The company had come up with an idea to produce creative vinyl stickers to decorate vehicles.
Having won the first stage of the annual competition earlier this year, and armed with three awards, Vinylife worked hard to make improvements to all aspects of their business plan in order to put them ahead of their competitors as they progressed through the competition.
The team compiled an impressive trade stand, explained their business to the judges and made a professional presentation as part of the process. Unfortunately the team were not selected to go through to the regional finals. However, all the students have benefited immensely from participating in the Young Enterprise scheme; they have developed in confidence, their communication and teamwork skills have been tested and they have an understanding of entrepreneurship.
Vinylife plan to continue their business and we wish them every success!
