Wigston College Induction Days – Tuesday 3rd July and Wednesday 4th July
The induction will take place from Tuesday 3rd – Wednesday 4th July. On Tuesday 3rd July please make your way to Main Reception where you will be directed to the Hall for a 9.00 start. Please wear clothing that adheres to the College Dress Code.
Timings for the days are:
- Tuesday 9.00am – 1.15pm
- Wednesday 8.25am – 1.15pm
During the Induction you will have a personalised timetable to follow introductory lessons in the subjects chosen on your application form. We will be able to confirm the A Level programmes available for 2018-19.
Please bring a pen and some A4 file paper. If you are taking the OCR Sport course you will need to bring appropriate PE kit.
You should bring cash for food and drink available on site or your own snacks.
Sixth Form Dress Code

|Shirt with a collar or polo shirt of student’s choice, a tie is optional.
Smart dark trousers (not ripped/faded or any colour denim jeans) Shoes which can be polished or suede. Plain black trainers or canvas shoes are acceptable. Hoodies are not acceptable whereas a plain v-neck or round neck jumper or cardigan is acceptable when worn over a shirt.
|A blouse top or smart polo shirt that covers the shoulders can be worn. (No slogan t-shirts or crop tops). This can be worn with trousers (not ripped/faded or any colour denim jeans), a reasonable length skirt or dress. (not blue or faded denim). Shoes which can be polished or suede. Plain black trainers or canvas shoes are acceptable. Hoodies are not acceptable whereas a plain v-neck or rounded neck jumper or cardigan is acceptable when worn over a top.|
The Year 12 Induction provides an excellent opportunity to get a feel for Sixth Form life, meet fellow students and staff and gain an insight into your A-Level courses. Some transition work will be issued during taster lessons for completion over the Summer break. This will support the commencement of courses in the Autumn Term.
