Leicester Mercury Young Achievers Awards 2015 – winners announced

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending the Leicester Mercury Young Achievers Awards 2015.

This year we were delighted to have nominations in four categories, which is a wonderful celebration of the ongoing success of the college. 

Our students won in three categories and also took Student of the Year!

Nikki Kandola, Senior Events Manager at the Leicester Mercury informed us that there were hundreds of nominations this year so get to the final three proved a massive achievement in itself and a testament to their hard work.

The awards were: 

A-Level Achievement Award – Winner was Alex Thornhill with Anja Kinsberger one of two runners-up.

Community Achievement award – Winner was Holly Woodward.

Science & Mathematics Achievement Award – Winner was Alex Thornhill.

Undergraduate Finalist – runner up Anja Kinsberger.

Student of the Year – Winner was Holly Woodward.

As a college, we are delighted for all the winners and runners-up but we but we are immensely proud of our students gaining four out of the nine awards!

Our congratulations to the award winners and nominees who all received cash prizes.
