Jeans for Genes
On Friday 28th September the college was filled with community spirit in aid of raising awareness and money for the charity Genetic Disorder UK. Students took part in the fund-raising event ‘Jeans for Genes’ where we all wore jeans to show our support and made a donation. Genetic Disorder UK helps those who suffer from disorders such as Cystic Fibrosis and Sickle Cell Anaemia by purchasing equipment , for example wheelchairs, giving respite care and providing many other things that make these children’s lives more enjoyable. College students not only wore jeans to show their support but also bought pin badges, bags of confectionary and entered a Decorate Your Jeans competition! A total of £213 was raised on the day.
