If you are considering going to university, you should be starting to think about potential places and courses to study.
Higher Education Evening – Tuesday 14th June, 6.30pm- 8.00pm at Wigston College
All Year 12 students and parents/carers should attend the above event on Tuesday 14th June at 6.30pm at Wigston College.
We will be joined by representatives from De Montfort University, University of Northampton and the University of Leicester to conduct three short workshops on:
Choosing the Right University and Course
-with over 50,000 courses to choose from, where do students start?
-tuition fees, financial support available and how to access it, costs of accommodation, food, social life etc.
Life as an Undergraduate
-first-hand accounts from current students regarding their experiences of living, studying and working at university.
We hope that the evening will provide useful information to help you support your sons and daughters as they are faced with important choices about their education beyond A Levels. Information and advice about Higher Education has already featured in Year 12 students’ Life Skills programme and there are further inputs this term and in Year 13 which will assist them in their decision-making.
