GCSE results are in…

boysDoors opened this morning at 8.30 am for students to pick up their GCSE exam results.

It wasn’t long until the envelopes were being ripped open and we are proud to celebrate some incredible results.

The college provides students with a comprehensive revision programme prior to the exams. Students could gain support at lunchtimes, after school and with classes over Easter. Certainly this provided valuable extra study time and resources to the students who took advantage of it.

Katherine Lund led the way this year with incredible 8 A*’s and 3 A’s whilst Charlotte Greengrass celebrated 6 A*’s and 4 A’s. Both are looking forward to continuing their studies.

Notable performances also came from Annika Khan, Hollie Mansfield-Smith, Beth Upton, Naima Filali, Emily Snow and Lauren Varley-Meade who between them achieved a massive 25 A*’s, 32 A’s and 8 B’s!

Mr John Shepherd, Head of Science said ‘We are thrilled to see so many of our students making such great progress. They have shown that hard work dedication result in grades of which to be proud’.

To those returning next week to start Sixth Form – we look forward to welcoming you back and to our students who are moving on we wish you all the very best of luck for your futures…keep in touch!
