Ex-student Michael Lanni lands his first theatrical role
We are delighted to announce that ex-student Michael Lanni will be performing the role of Peter in ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ in Birmingham.
He will take the role until 16th January 2016 at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
Michael told us “I had the joy of being directed by the brilliant Sir Trevor Nunn as Valentine in Shakespeare’s ‘Two Gentlemen of Verona’ for our final play at ArtsEd following our agent showcase. From which, I was able to accept representation by a highly reputable London agency specialising in film, theatre, television and commercial work, so it’s onwards and upwards from here!”
Congratulations Michael and we hope to come and watch you!
Read a previous interview with Michael below:
“Having moved to London and begun training in Acting at ArtsEd, I know that I am where I need and want to be. My course is exciting and I am receiving intense training for stage, film and television (which is somewhere I still cannot imagine to see my face in the future!)
It is an exciting time for ArtsEd as its President, Andrew Lloyd Webber, has just made a generous donation to the school, allowing for a brand-new, ‘state of the art’ Theatre along with new film and radio studios.
It always humbles me when I come back to visit Guthlaxton College, as I remember just how much I was inspired by my teachers. If it wasn’t for the support and encouragement that came from the drama and music departments at Guthlaxton, I don’t think I would have been as driven to seek out success in performing as I am today.
It’s by taking part in Guthlaxton’s various bands, choirs, and annual musical shows that I have found myself as a performer and that’s with thanks to the staff at the school who are always pushing to get the best out of their students.”
