Doors opened at 8.00am this morning for Wigston College Sixth Form students to receive their AS and A Level results.

It seems some time since our Sixth Form students sat their exams in June but finally the wait was over today when they collected their results. The college provided breakfast and the atmosphere was electric!

The majority of our students who have applied for university look set to gain their first choice place this year, which is a credit to them.

We had somOliviae exceptional individual performances, a notable result came from Olivia Harnedy who achieved A* A* A*.  Olivia has worked very hard and consistently been a top performer. She has chosen to study Chemical Engineering at The University of Nottingham.

Adam Green gained A* A* A  A and will be taking up his place at Warwickshire whilst Cameron Smith can look forward to Cambridge after gaining A* A  A.

Other outstanding performances came from Charlotte Sarsby with A A A and Hannah Woch and Ashleigh Gibby who both gained A A B.

Samuel French also deserves a note for gaining A A A A at AS Level.  He proudly said ‘it proves hard work does show in the end’.

There are many many more great results that we could list but there isn’t room!

Congratulations to all our students and we wish them all the very best.

Keep us in touch with your next moves!
