Costs & Funding

Parents are required to pay weekly or in advance for their child’s day care. For further cost information please contact the pre-school.

FEEE Funding (Free Early Educational Entitlement)

Free childcare and education for 2 to 4 year olds
You can start claiming free childcare after your child turns 2 or 3 years depending on which funding you are eligible for. The date you can claim will depend on when your child’s birthday is.

Child’s Birthday When you can claim
1st January to 31st March the beginning of the term on or after the 1st April
1st April to 31st August the beginning of term on or after 1st September
1st September to 31st December the beginning of the term on or after the 1st January

Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) funded childcare is available to all three year old children the term after their third birthday; this provides 15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.

Free FEEE funded childcare is also available for some two year old children if they meet the set criteria linked to families’ financial or personal circumstances including  families on low income or and children with specific individual needs.

Early Years Premium

The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is available from April 2015 for eligible three and four year old children accessing FEEE. If your child is eligible the premium will provide the pre-school with extra funding to enhance opportunities, experiences and support offered to your child. We will need information about you and your child to provide the best education and support by making sure we receive all the government funding to which we and your child are entitled.
